Some people ask me to find them a developer that they describe as a “ninja” and I always thought they were ridiculous until we actually found one!
Now before you jump on to this video, can we please stop referring to developers as “ninja”’s please? Who do you really think you’re impressing? I know that the stigma of being a developer is to be a geek that likes ninjas, but that’s about the only common thread I can find to associating a valuable profession to something that’s not relevant. I know some people joke around about the ninja thing, but there are others who don’t, so keep that in mind. We don’t know if you’re joking or if you’re not. And if you’re joking, do you really think it’s that funny?
You could easily be funny by associating developers to something more creative, like a Dragon Slayer developer or a Space man sales person. See – those aren’t even that funny but at least they’re random.
If you’re looking for a ninja developer, (mr hiring manager that makes up irrelevant nicknames for people to make themselves look special but in turn are the same dudes that pop their collar on their otherwise very nice polo) well, I got one for you!
